This is only the 2nd pair of bike pants I have ever owned. The other pair was many years ago & I forgot what happened to them. I started biking, again, so I thought I would order. They definitely work well. The band around the leg, is a big tight, but I guess it is supposed to be. Personally, I would probably prefer a smoother look, versus the squeezing at the band. No big deal, though. The padding is different than my original pair, which was sort of in the form of a saddle. I was worried this would not work well, because the pad is much smaller and sort of in the shape of a sanitary pad. However, again, it works! Overall, I am out and about happily biking around. :)
